Career
Shaheen Afridi began his journey in cricket at the Tatara Ground in Landi Kotal. He initially played tennis-ball cricket and it was until at the FATA Under-16 trials that he was introduced to hard-ball cricket. Following his impressive performance at the event, he was selected to represent his country for the Under-16 tour of Australia.
In December 2016, Afridi played for Pakistan at the Under-19 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. He signed a two-year deal with Dhaka Dynamites the following year and later made his first-class debut for Khan Research Laboratories.
During the 2018 Under-189 Cricket World Cup, Shaheen Afridi was the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan with 12 wickets. The International Cricket Council (ICC) then named Afridi as the rising star of Pakistan following his impressive performance at the tournament.

On 28 February 2018, Afridi made his T20 debut for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. The talented bowler was then made the captain and under his leadership, Lahore Qalandars won the PSL title two consecutive times (in the 2022 season and 2023 season). As a result, Lahore Qalandars became the first team to defend the PSL title.
On 3 April 2018, Shaheen Afridi made his T20I debut for Pakistan in a clash against West Indies. He made his ODI debut that same year in September against Afghanistan. On 3 December, Afridi made his Test debut for Pakistan against New Zealand.
