Marshall Plumlee is an American former professional basketball player and an active United States Army Ranger whose net worth in 2023 is estimated to be $ 1 million from his NBA earnings as well as his military salary.

Plumlee played college basketball for the Duke University Blue Devils and was one of the top-rated basketball players in the McDonald’s All-American.

The player was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2016 NBA draft and played for them for two seasons before he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Plumlee retired from playing basketball in 2020 to join the United States Army.

Marshall attended Christ School in Arden, North Carolina where he was a four-year starter and led his team to four state championships, also being named the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year.

After high school, Plumlee enrolled at Duke University where he played college basketball and was a two-time All-ACC selection, helping the Blue Devils win the NCAA championship.

The ranger graduated from Duke University with a degree in economics, joined the United States Army and was commissioned as an officer in the ROTC-Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.

Personal Life

Marshall Harrison Plumlee was born on June 9, 1992, in Lauderdale, Florida to Millard Plumlee and Leslie Plumlee. His father is a former basketball player who played for Tennessee University while his mother played for Purdue University.

His elder brothers are Mason and Miles who are also basketball players.

Plumlee is married to Taylor Smith and the couple is blessed with two children, a son and a daughter.

Since joining the U.S. Army, Marshall is no longer playing basketball as he is focused on his military career though he still enjoys playing the game.
