Trish Stratus has been a fan of wrestling since childhood. She was fond of legendary wrestlers Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage.
Prior to beginning her wrestling career, Trish worked as a model. Her modelling work caught the attention of World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) who signed her.
WWE offered Trish a multi-year contract and sent her to Sully’s Gym where Ron Hutchison did the work of training her. On 10 March 2000, she made her wrestling debut as a heel under the ring name “Trish Stratus”.
Trish started as a manager of the tag team, Prince Albert and Test, and also managed Val Venice. With her tag teams winning virtually every fight, the Canadian wrestler decided to aim for the WWF Women’s Championship. However, she was unlucky at that time.
Trish then started a feud with Vince McMahon, something which Stephanie McMahon didn’t like. This resulted in many months of feuding and controversy.

Upon her return, Trish Stratus eventually won the WWF Women’s Championship. She lost the title to American wrestler Jazz.
