- Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae has been arguably the best defender in the Serie A this season
- The defender has impressed both in local and European competition for the Serie A leaders
- Premier League side Manchester United are weighing up a summer move for the defender
Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae has gained prominence quickly, and Manchester United is reportedly looking into a transfer for the conclusion of the season.
Kim, now 26 years old, was playing until he was 24 years old in China and Korea before being noticed by Fenerbahce, who paid €3 million to acquire him.
He spent one season in Turkey before being acquired by Napoli for €18 million. He was a crucial component of their best season in the twenty-first century. He has participated in 22 of defending champions Napoli’s 23 Serie A games this season, beginning each one.

The strong-built defender has established himself as one of the league’s best players, but unfortunately for Napoli, his contract has a surprisingly reasonable release clause.
Calciomercato claims that United has been keeping tabs on Kim for months and has spoken with his representatives to determine whether he would be interested in moving to the Premier League.
Kim’s contract allegedly contains a £44 million (€50 million) release clause, but Napoli officials are eager to give him a new deal in order to at least increase that sum to their estimation of £61 million (€70 million).
He is anticipated to become United’s top target at the conclusion of the campaign.

Transfer Round-Up
According to Football London, Arsenal has declared 24-year-old West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice their top goal after admitting they won’t be competing for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.
According to the Evening Standard, Arsenal will have to compete with Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and Newcastle United for the services of Real Valladolid full-back Ivan Fresneda, who is 18 years old, during the upcoming transfer window due to his £26.5 million (€30 million) release clause.
If Mason Mount declines to sign a new contract, Chelsea will permit him to depart before the start of the upcoming season, according to The Athletic.
Sport Witness reports that late in the January transfer season, Everton had a £22 million (€25 million) offer for 25-year-old Udinese forward Beto rejected. It is anticipated that Everton will resubmit an improved offer.
James Maddison, a 26-year-old midfielder for Leicester City, will be free to depart the team if he doesn’t sign a contract extension, and Football Insider believes Tottenham are the favourites to sign him.
