In a recent game, Carlo Ancelotti was asked about the form of Karim Benzema saying that the Frenchman was the best striker in the world.

The 33-year-old has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in merely seven appearances this season. Failing to sign Kylian Mbappe in the transfer window has increased the reliance on Benzema for the campaign. However, if he keeps up his form, then Real Madrid would be unstoppable in the league.

Barcelona remains the biggest arch-rivals of Real Madrid in Laliga, just only until recently Atletico Madrid started punching.

David Alaba joined the club on a free transfer from Bayern Munich. On the other hand, Camavinga joined the team from Stade Rennais. The 18-year-old has been incredible in midfield and also scored a goal on his debut.

On the other hand, Alaba has been solid in defense. He has easily filled the void left by Sergio Ramos who joined Paris Saint-Germain.

The centre-back has started six games, in which the club have kept two clean-sheets. He has been a vital factor behind an improved defensive performance from Madrid in the initial phase of the season.

One of the major factors behind Real Madrid’s lack of success last season was a lack of goals. The outfit seemed unable to get on the scoresheet, which hurt their ambitions in several competitions, including the La Liga.
