Manchester City Secure their fourth Premier League title

Manchester City secured their fourth consecutive Premier League title in a match against West Ham United,  breaking a record that no team has ever won four times consecutively in the Premier League era.

Man City has recently been on the win and the players too. Phil Foden who was recently voted EPL Player of the Season set his team’s pace when he scored two goals in the first half to set the tone for his team’s win against West Ham.

Their manager Pep Guardiola recently secured his sixth Premier League title with the team, making him one of the greatest managers of all time, as evident in the team’s performance.

This Premier League title win marks City’s sixth championship for the last seven seasons, becoming a record since it has never happened in the Premier League history.

Manchester City’s contribution to the match

The match against Manchester City and West Ham United was played at the Etihad Stadium yesterday 19th May 2024. Phil Foden stole the match when he led City with two goals in the first half, setting the stage for victory.  

During the match, West Ham scored  one goal in the second half, and they faced a strong defense from their rivals City. Their celebration continued after Rodrigo Hernandez placed a strike and West Ham was doomed.

This win for Manchester City marks another chapter in Pep Guardiola’s tenure at the club, as he has now secured their sixth Premier League title, and with no doubt, making him one of the greatest managers of all time.

With their title win secured, they might focus on improving specific areas in the squad as rumor suggests that they are looking for a left-winger. There  might also be sales to free up funds and squad space.

Having won the Premier League on several occasions, it is possible that City are looking forward to winning the Champions League trophy. It is also possible that Pep Guardiola’s contract might be extended further with this impressive performance.

West Ham United’s fourth Premier League title

West Ham United faced a tough match from Manchester City, who won 3-1, securing their fourth Premier League title. Despite their defeat, their contribution could be seen, though their rivals had a strong opposing defense.

West Ham fought hard and they made it to the net once, and throughout the match, they contributed offensively. However, losing a match comes with disappointments and facing a dominant team like City can be a valuable learning experience for them.

With the season over, they might likely shift their focus on the oncoming season as they use this match as a stepping stone to improve in their areas of play and probably their attacking defense.

The club has been without a manager since David Moyes stepped down and one of the key areas they should concentrate on is finding a suitable person for the role that could improve their style of play.

Lack of a manager could have impacted the club negatively, leading the team to disjointed play and competing against a well-drilled team like Manchester City. This might also lead to lower morale within the team because players might feel less motivated or miss the guidance of a permanent leader.

Pep Guardiola’s contribution to City’s success

Pep Guardiola is focused on seeing his team get the best, and this could be the reason behind their success to their fourth consecutive Premier League title. He is known for keeping his opponents in suspense which allows his players to exploit their weakness.

He has taught his players to dominate the midfield and create scoring opportunities through short and precise passes, a style that can be frustrating for opponents who struggle to get the ball.
