Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe will do a 100m sprint challenge by legendary sprinter Usain Bolt.

Bolt invited Mbappe to the charity race and he couldn’t turn down the invitation much as he was aware that he has no chance of winning.

However, he considers the challenge a big honour to his name. Mbappe explained that Bolt invited him because he recognised his talent.

Commenting about the 100m sprint, Mbappe told Victory Mode that he shares the same charisma with Bolt. They both appreciate the special talents that they have.

“Knowing that I inspire someone like that is really gratifying,” he stated. Unknown to many people, the Frenchman opened up that always admired Bolt’s zeal in athletics.

“I think he inspired everyone a little bit, too, and every one of you in this room has gotten up in the middle of the night to watch one of his races. It’s mutual. But I started admiring him first.”

How Fast is Mbappe?

Football pundits rank Mbappe among the fastest football players in the world. He has done at least 35 km/h (21.7 mph) during matches. That’s about as quick as Olympic sprinters can reach in the first lap of a 100-meter race.

Mbappé has an incredible amount of agility and lightning-fast acceleration. His unique combination of speed and control leaves opponents in his wake.

He is a powerful force on the field thanks to his quick bursts of acceleration. His unique ability to shift direction quickly without sacrificing speed makes him one of the world’s fastest football players.

When Mbappé’s speed is compared to that of Usain Bolt, there are interesting conclusions. At an astounding 9.58 seconds, Bolt—famously referred to as the fastest man on Earth—holds the world record for the 100-meter sprint.

His astounding speed equals an average of almost 23.35 miles per hour (or 37.58 kilometres per hour).

Mbappé’s speed is definitely remarkable, although it isn’t quite as quick as Bolt’s sprint. Bolt has a better chance of winning the 100m challenge that Mbappe is now a part of.

However, the PSG star could come close to Bolt.

In the end, Bolt gave up on his football dream in 2019. He accepted the difficulties of switching to a new sport later in life and decided to focus on other things in life.
