Twice at St James’ Park, Newcastle’s temporary captain saved the day with outstanding blocks to deny Ben Brereton Diaz and Cameron Archer.
After the striker sidestepped Fabian Schar and covered behind his goalkeeper as Brereton Diaz attempted to give the Blades a second goal following Alexander Isak’s equalizer, Burn’s substantial frame halted Archer’s attempt and prevented Sheffield United from extending their early advantage.
He performed admirably in center defense, making four clearances, blocking four shots, and completing 93.6% of his passes.
Idrissa Gana Gueye – Everton
Even though the Senegal midfielder doesn’t often score goals, Idrissa Gueye has been a huge asset for Everton over the past week. The Toffees have won three straight games thanks to two huge goals, guaranteeing their place in the Premier League for another year.
The veteran struck the game-winning goal to defeat Brentford on Saturday, maintaining his cool to drive a shot through traffic and into the net. He was at his most diligent before and after his game-winning play, winning two tackles and seven out of nine duels at Goodison Park. Assured of safety, the Blues can breathe—at least for the time being.

Despite their lackluster performance in their 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, Manchester City still has a chance to win the league thanks to two goals from De Bruyne. Josko Gvardiol blasted home the Belgian’s set piece for the first goal at the City Ground, and then De Bruyne and Erling Haaland collaborated for a well-known double-act for the second.
In all competitions this season, no Premier League player has assisted more than fourteen times. It’s just his 21st game. An incredible feat from a legendary Premier League player.
Bukayo Saka – Arsenal
Saka delivered a performance that was brimming with their signature energy, living up to the moment. With a corner kick delivery against Tottenham, he set up Arsenal’s first goal, which Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could only glance into his own goal.
Saka completed a brilliant counterattack by winning Kai Havertz’s ball, cutting inside, and scoring his 15th Premier League goal of the year to increase the advantage. Since Saka’s Arsenal debut (20), only Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne have contributed more goals and assists against the “Big Six” than Saka, who currently has 33 goal involvements across all competitions this season.
James Tarkowski – Everton
The Everton defenseman was added one after the other as his team defeated Brentford 1-0 to guarantee their survival. With Tarkowski at the center of their defensive effort once more, the Toffees recorded their 12th clean sheet of the season—only Arsenal have more.
The 31-year-old led the game in clearances with 11 and won 100% of his duels in the air and on the ground (10/10) at Goodison Park. Since joining on a free transfer in 2022, he has not missed a single minute of Premier League action. Discuss value.

Excellent once more. In addition to playing a key role in Arsenal’s title defense, Kai Havertz maintained his impressive play in the North London derby by scoring and providing an assist. Saka’s second goal was set up by a raking pass, and the German then ducked out of his marker to nod in the third, which ended up being the game-winning goal.
Between came periods of incredible movement and labor, Havertz being a true handful with his combination of technical and physical prowess. Among his greatest performances to date, coming from a player who has settled into an Arsenal uniform.
Alexander Isak – Newcastle

On this kind of form, Eddie Howe stated at full time that he would not sell Alexander Isak for anybody else. After scoring twice in the Magpies’ 5-1 thumping of Sheffield United, the Swedish striker made it seven goals in a row in Premier League matches at St. James’ Park.
Following a stunning first goal for the Blades, Isak equalized for Newcastle by grabbing a feed from Jacob Murphy and sliding a finish into the far corner. His 19th league goal of the season came via a self-assured penalty kick that he side-footed well in for his second. That title would support Howe’s claims to be a “world-class” player, since he was just one point behind Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer in the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot.
