  • Chelsea won 6-0 over Everton

There was a bit of drama at yesterday’s match between Chelsea and Everton when Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson were involved in a heated exchange over a penalty when Palmer grabbed the ball and scored his fourth goal of the match that gave Chelsea a 6-0 win over Everton.

Palmer secured a hat trick within a short time and later converted a penalty to score his fourth goal of the match as his team took over the win. This led to a heated exchange between him, Madueke and Nicolas over the penalty taking duties.

Both Madueke and Nicolas claimed the ball from Malo Gustavo and there was a tense exchange between the two players. However, Thiago Henry intervened, managing to defuse the situation momentarily as Nicolas Jackson walked away.

The conflict escalated when Madueke remained adamant that he was going to take the penalty before captain Gallagher urged him to hand over the ball to Palmer. Despite the instructions, the forward did not comply, forcing Gallagher to retrieve the ball and handing it over to Palmer.

Chelsea’s manager Mauricio Pochettino was not happy about the act and considered it a lack of discipline and focus and the team was already comfortable winning, and this argument overshadowed the victory, showing a lack of concentration on the game.

Madueke and Jackson heated exchange

There was a bit of drama involving two Chelsea players Madueke and Jackson in yesterday’s match against Everton, where Chelsea emerged the winners on a 6-0 win. Chelsea were ahead of their rivals with 4-0 when they earned a penalty in the second half.

This became an interesting point when Madueke grabbed the ball, seemingly ready to take the penalty. Jackson wasn’t having it and he got upset, and tried to take the ball from Madueke for himself.

Both Madueke and Nicolas claimed the ball from Malo Gustavo and there was a tense exchange between the two players. However, Thiago Henry intervened, managing to defuse the situation momentarily as Nicolas Jackson walked away.

The conflict escalated when Madueke remained adamant that he was going to take the penalty, before captain Gallagher urged him to hand over the ball to Palmer. Despite the instructions, the forward did not comply and this forced Gallagher to retrieve the ball and handed it over to Palmer.

What did the disagreement between Madueke and Jackson portray?

This disagreement diverted the attention of the fans who were already celebrating Chelsea’s win and it highlighted a potential lack of communication regarding penalty takers. Chelsea’s manager Pochettino was not happy about the incident and considered it lack of discipline and focus on the bigger picture during a comfortable lead.

On the other hand, it could also have shown a positive side of young players who are determined to win.
