  • Sancho is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund
  • He is not planning to return to Manchester United unless Erik ten Hag is fired
  • Erik ten Hag claimed Sancho had not performed well in training

Jadon Sancho, a former Manchester United player currently on a loan stint at Borussia Dortmund has declared his intention of not returning to Man United if Erik ten Hag will be his manager after a training dispute between them.

Sancho who is currently on a loan stint at Borussia Dortmund said that he can not work under Hag and if he will be joining the team, the manager must be sacked first. The two had a conflict after he called the boss a liar for claims that Sancho had not performed well in training.

The 23-year-old was sent on loan at Borussia Dortmund after his big bust-up with the Dutch manager and it may be a challenge working under him especially now that they do not see eye to eye.

The player has weighed an option of joining Borussia Dortmund permanently if the Man United manager will not be fired. Manchester has been given a transfer deal for the player to return to the club permanently.

He refused to apologize to the manager for calling him a liar and this has caused additional tension with the manager, which might affect their relationship if he decides to return to the club and affect his performance as well, giving him the option to accept the permanent contract with Dortmund.

He developed a passion for football at a young age and played alongside fellow footballer Reiss Nelson. Initially, he was a Chelsea fan who idolized Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, leading him to a career start with Watford’s youth academy for two years before joining Manchester City’s youth setup.

He signed his first professional contract with Borussia Dortmund, won the DFL-Supercup with the club clinched the DFB-Pokal emerged as the tournament’s top scorer, and represented the England national team.

Sancho secured a transfer to Manchester United but he had challenged adapting to the club and was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho’s career journey

Born in London, he joined Watford’s youth team at the age of seven for four years before moving to Manchester City’s academy. At the age of seventeen, he had a breakthrough by joining Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

His talent blossomed in the Bundesliga and his eye for goal made him a fan favorite. He played for the club for four seasons and during this time, he made 137 appearances, scoring 50 goals and also lifted the 2019 DFL-Supercup in 2019 and the DFB-Pokal the following year.

Another turning point came when he was signed by Manchester United in a big-money transfer deal, though replicating his Dortmund form turned out to be challenging, and this saw him on loan at his former club Borussia Dortmund.

What transpired between Manchester United boss Eric ten Hag and Sancho?

The two have had a public dispute, a tension that arose after Sancho was left out of the squad for a crucial match, with Hag stating that his training performances were below standard, implying a lack of commitment.

Sancho refuted the claims and called Hag a liar in a social media post that he later deleted, this incident has created a rift between the player and the manager.

Sancho’s return to Manchester United might be faced with challenges as he and the boss can not see eye to eye which might affect his performance. In his opinion, he would want to sign a permanent deal with Borussia Dortmund or if he will return to Man United, he suggests that the manager be fired.
