He also has an elder sister by the name of Nyla who attended the University of South Carolina where she plays collegiate basketball, an indication that basketball is a sport that runs in the family.
His father being a pastor has held his faith high and it has played a big role in his career. He enjoys playing the drums, an interest he showed at the age of about three years.
