Being at the top of the game for almost two decades now, it’s not surprising to find there are players who hate Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugal international is currently playing in the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr after successful spells with Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
He has won numerous titles over the years and apart from being a fan favourite, he has also made some haters along the way. Here, we are going to take a look at five famous players who hate Cristiano Ronaldo and why.
1. Gerard Pique

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gerard Pique were once teammates at during their early days at Manchester United. Pique, 37, is now retired while Ronaldo is still going strong at the age of 39.
While at the peak of their careers, Ronaldo was at Real Madrid while the former Spain international was having a great time with Barcelona. The two turned from teammates to disliking each other probably because of the El Clasico rivalry.
Pique once trolled Ronaldo’s ‘calma’ celebration and the current Al Nassr player forward player responded in a kind way saying, “Even when others are celebrating, they remember Cristiano Ronaldo. Whether it’s good or not let them remember Cris.”
2. Alejandro Moreno
Alejandro Moreno is a former professional footballer who now works as a television commentator for ESPN FC, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Latin America. Moreno spent the majority of his career playing in the MLS and never faced Cristiano Ronaldo at any point during his days on the pitch.
However, he has made his hate for the former Juventus man public and bashes him at every chance he gets. He once claimed that Ronaldo is not good enough when it comes to delivering in good games. Well, we will leave that to you to judge because a few players have delivered in the big moments like Ronaldo.
3. Koke
Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are two great sides who have been at the top of Spanish football for a very long time. Both clubs hail from the same city, Madrid, and are known to make things hard for each other during matches.
Ronaldo has scored several times against Atletico Madrid and this is something that Atletico Madrid players and fans don’t like at all. Back in 2016 after the Los Blancos thrashed Diego Simeone’s side 3-0 during the Madrid derby, captain Koke called Ronaldo a f****t. This led to a bust-up between the two players who ended up butting heads.
Well, you can tell that Koke isn’t a fan of Ronaldo at all as this man cost Atletico two UEFA Champions League titles.
4. Sepp Blatter

Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter once made his feelings about Ronaldo clear in a very strange way. He was comparing the Ronaldo to Lionel Messi when he described the Portuguese star as a “commander on the battle field of play” and then praised Messi as the good boy who every parent would like to have at home.
Well, he would have chosen better words to compare the two but decided to make it weird most probably because of his hat towards the former Real Madrid man. It’s obvious he is one of the former players who hate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pep Guardiola
We just had to include Pep Guardiola on the list of players who hate Cristiano Ronaldo even though the two have only crossed paths after the former’s retirement.
Guardiola, who is the current manager of reigning champions of the Premier League and UEFA Champions League Manchester City, has made his hate towards Cristiano very open several times. Well, maybe it’s because they have been on the opposite side of the fence from one another over the years.
In one particular El Clasico tie, Barca were leading 2-0 when the ball went out and Ronaldo rushed to get it for a throw-in. Surprisingly, Pep refused to give Ronaldo the ball, keeping it away from him with his right hand and then flicking it down the sideline.

Ronaldo was furious and he gave Pep a little shove, which led to the Spaniard falling down. This led to a burst-up as Barcelona players rushed to the scene and Real Madrid players also came running to defend their player.
Fast forward to January 2013, during the Ballon d’Or ceremony for 2012, Guardiola brutally snubbed Ronaldo when the Portuguese stretched his hands to greet him.
