The best youngsters in the Bundesliga are playing a massive role in their team’s run as the 2023-24 campaign comes close to an end. While some like Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala have been on the limelight for a few seasons now, others are just getting the spotlight for the first time.

Florian Wirtz and Xavi Simons are among the young players who have proven to be full of potential and could be the next big stars in the football world. With that said, let’s take a look at eight Bundesliga rising stars to watch out for:

1. Jamal Musiala – Bayern Munich

Jamal Musiala is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, even though he turned 21 just a few weeks ago. Whereas Bayern Munich have been struggling this season under Thomas Tuchel, Musiala has so far scored 12 goals and assisted seven for the Bavarians across all competitions. His partnership with Harry Kane is one of the reasons why Bayern are favourites to lift the Champions League this season.

2. Florian Wirtz – Bayer Leverkusen 

Bayer Leverkusen have been on stellar form this season, thanks to quality players such as Florian Wirtz. The Bland and Reds are just a few games from winning the Bundesliga and Wirtz is one of the players from the team that caught the attention of many top clubs and fans due to his performance. He has recorded 10 assists and 10 goals so far in the Bundesliga and has been compared to the legendary Andres Iniesta.

3. Xavi Simons – RB Leipzig 

Xavi Simons has been having a great time in the Bundesliga since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain on loan last summer. Due to his performance at RB Leipzig this season he has been identified as one of the best youngsters in the Bundesliga this season who are on the radar of top European clubs. Xavi has scored nine goals and assisted eleven so far.

4. Mathys Tel – Bayern Munich

Unlike the other players mentioned above on this list of the best youngsters in the Bundesliga this season, Mathys Tel hasn’t got enough playing time. However, he has been delivering when on the pitch and boasts an incredible goal-scoring ratio. He has made 32 appearances mostly from the bench, scoring eight goals and assisting four more across all competitions.

5. Benjamin Sesko – RB Leipzig 

Benjamin Sesko has already been linked to several clubs since the start of this season. In his debut with RB Leipzig, he has already scored 11 goals and assisted two. He is one of the players who will be on the move at the end of the 2023-24 season.

6. Youssoufa Moukoko – Borussia Dortmund

Youssoufa Moukoko is not only one of the best youngsters in the Bundesliga this season but also among talented players who have emerged from the famous Borussia Dortmund academy. The 19-year-old is known for his goalscoring ability and has so far found the back of the net four goals despite coming on as a substitute in most matches.

7. Maximilian Beier – Hoffenheim 

21-year-old Maximilian Beier received his first call-up to the German national team during the international break thanks to his amazing performance this season. Beier has been outstanding at TSG Hoffenheim so far and has managed 12 goals. He is one of those players who could be on the move this summer.

8. Merlin Rohl – Freiburg

After making just three appearances the whole of last season, Merlin Rohl has had his breakthrough this campaign and has so far made 30 appearances due to his amazing performances game after game. The midfielder has impressed with his vision and passing and has so far assisted three goals while scoring two. He is undoubtedly one of the best youngsters in the Bundesliga this season.

9. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens – Borussia Dortmund 

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City and has established himself as one of the fast rising stars at the club. The 19-year-old could be the future of Dortmund and has so far made 23 appearances, scoring two goals and assisting four.
