Sinner was born on 16 August 2001, in San Candido, Italy. He grew up in the German-speaking region of South Tyrol and as a result, speaks German in addition to Italian and English. Sinner reached a Grand Slam semi-final for the first time in 2023, where he lost to Djokovic at Wimbledon. On Sunday, he won his maiden Slam at the Australian Open.
