Marash Nikolin Kumbulla is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Serie A club Roma and the Albanian national team. He began his career with Hellas Veronas’s youth system where he made his professional debut at the age of 17, in a win against Bologna and then signed a new three-year contract with the club.
His performance with Bologna won him a place with Roma on a five-year contract for a fee of about $32 million, a move that was seen as a major coup for Roma as they were able to sign one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe.
