Marash Nikolin Kumbulla is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Serie A club Roma and the Albanian national team. He began his career with Hellas Veronas’s youth system where he made his professional debut at the age of 17, in a win against Bologna and then signed a new three-year contract with the club.

His performance with Bologna won him a place with Roma on a five-year contract for a fee of about $32 million, a move that was seen as a major coup for Roma as they were able to sign one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe. In his first two seasons at Roma, the defender has made a seamless transition to life, making over 50 appearances in all competitions and also scoring two goals for the club.

Marash Kumbulla Educational Background

Just like many other footballers, Marash pursued his education alongside his football training. He completed his secondary education in Italy. However, there is no information on whether he attended college before joining his football career. But, we can base it on most professional athletes who first concentrate on their careers and then pursue their studies later.

His father realized his son’s talent and this made him work for longer hours so that he could afford enrolling him in a football academy.

He started playing at a young age and about seven years, he joined the youth academy of a local club known as Hellas Verona where he quickly progressed through the ranks and made his professional debut for the club. He has also represented his country at the international level and is considered to be one of the most promising young defenders in Europe.

Marash Kumbulla’s playstyle

Kumbulla is a young and talented defender from Albania and he is known for his strength, agility and technical ability in the field. He is capable of playing in several positions across the backline. The defender is a good passer and has a keen eye for a goal.
