In a comparative analysis, the amount spent by United for Onana’s arrival did not even secure a spot within their top ten most expensive imports. Notably, United allocated more funds during the same transfer window for the acquisitions of Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.

Despite his hefty price tag, Onana faced a challenging start to his tenure at Old Trafford, marked by a series of errors and blunders.
