Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Pedro began his football career at local club CD San Isidro. He went through the club’s youth system for several years and got the attention of Barcelona during the 2003-04 season when he scored 35 goals for the youth team.
In January 2004, Pedro joined FC Barcelona and soon became a key player for Barcelona B. The youngster scored six goals in 36 matches to help Barcelona B achieve promotion in the 2007-08 Tercera Division.
