Her father was a professional footballer in Algeria while her mother was a keen amateur player and they encouraged their daughter to play on discovering her talent.

Lahmari’s brother Karim is also a footballer who plays for a local team in Paris while her sister Yasmine plays for the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy.

The midfielder began her education at Ecole Jean Moulin in Paris, France for eight years. Upon her graduation from the school, Lahmari went to Lycee Jean -Pierre Timbaud where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.

Both parents are Muslims and was raised in a Muslim household. She is very proud of her Muslim heritage and she is grateful that it helped her shape up to the person she is today.

Career

The player is a professional football player who plays as a midfielder for Division 1 Feminine club Guingamp and the Morocco national team.

Born and raised in France, she attended Paris Saint-Germain youth academy and she progressed to the senior team with the club making a debut. She has three citizenships from France, Algeria and Morocco and is thus eligible to play for the three countries.

Lahmari played for the France national team and Algeria at the youth levels locally and internationally.

She also played on loan for clubs Reading, Paris FC and AsJ Soyaux before moving to Morocco.

The Gingamp player switched her allegiance to Morocco from France and has since appeared in the 2020 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Anissa played in the Division 1 Feminine in this year and is currently playing for Guingamp, a French Women’s professional football club.

She helped the team get to eighth place in the league table. She also played for Morocco national team this year in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations helping the team reach the quarterfinals in the tournament.
