We look at young players that impressed last season as they look for a new season ahead to continue their form.

Only 18 years old, Alejandro Garnacho has already contributed five goals and five assists for Manchester United.

The talented Argentine winger, who played in 19 Premier League games last year, was one of the division’s most intriguing young players with three goals and two assists.

Garnacho needed some time to get used to life in England, but the South American attacker rapidly became well-known as he moved up the youth ranks. When the U18s won the FA Youth Cup in 2021/2022, it was his breakthrough season in the United Academy. He scored five goals during that campaign, including two in the championship game against Nottingham Forest.

As a result of his accomplishments, he was handed the Jimmy Murphy Youth Player of the Year award for 2021–2022, which is given annually to the club’s top youth player.

Rico Lewis (Manchester City)

On August 13, 2022, Rico Lewis replaced Kyle Walker in a Premier League game against Bournemouth. In October of that same year, he played for Manchester City against Copenhagen in their Champions League debut.

On September 21, 2022, Lewis earned his England U19 debut. That same year, he was nominated for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Award.

He became the all-time youngest scorer in a Champions League match in his debut appearance and City’s youngest-ever Champions League scorer in November when he netted his first Champions League goal in a 3-1 victory over Sevilla.

Stefan Bajcetic (Liverpool)

Stefan Bajcetic was a wonderful treasure that Klopp found despite Liverpool’s disappointing season. The young midfielder just materialized.

He played youth soccer with Celta Vigo at the start of his career. He joined Liverpool’s youth squad in 2020.

Bajcetic made club history on September 13, 2022, when he participated in a Champions League match as the club’s youngest player. Later, his squad defeated Ajax Football Club. Early on in his time with Liverpool, supporters acknowledged his skill and voiced hope for his future as a player.

A youngster seldom comes out of nowhere and instantly becomes well-known, but that is precisely what the Republic of Ireland striker has done this year.

The native of Bettystown, according to Roberto De Zerbi, “is going to be one of the finest players and scorers in the Premier League.” Ferguson has a goal or assists every 118 minutes this season.

With his 6’2″ stature, precise shooting, and all-around ability, the Irishman is not in terrible company and seems to be developing into a top prospect. There have been rumors of transfers from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham, but don’t hold your breath.

Jacob Ramsey (Aston Villa)

Unai Emery has transformed Aston Villa from relegation prospects to European qualifying since his appointment in October. Since January 13, Jacob Ramsey has started every game for Villa, with the exception of one (a home loss to Arsenal).

Many people think that the 21-year-old midfielder was unlucky not to receive his first senior England call-up due to his dynamism as a Villa academy graduate who is a feisty presence and goal threat in a roaming No 8 role. Ramsey scored in Villa’s 100th game at Anfield, giving him six goals and five assists on the year. Aston Villa have a promising future ahead, and Ramsey is at the center of it all.

After coming from a fantastic European Championship with England, Bukayo Saka has had a season of his career.

The 20-year-old has played primarily on the right side for the Gunners and has eight goals and four assists while playing in all competitions. His statistics are getting better every game.

Since making his senior team debut at the Emirates, Saka has excelled in a variety of situations and possesses a football IQ that defies his age.
