Career
Being the son of a footballer, Aubameyang fell in love with the sport at a very young age. He joined AC Milan’s youth academy in January 2007 after playing for ASL L’Huisserie, Nice, Laval and Bastia.
Aubameyang spent just one season at AC Milan’s academy before receiving promotion to the senior team. However, he never made an appearance as he was sent on a series of loan spells to French clubs. He played for Dijon, Lille and Monaco before eventually joining Saint Etienne II on a permanent deal in December 2011.
Aubameyang quickly developed at Saint Etienne II and caught the attention of Borussia Dortmund, who signed him in July 2013. While at Borussia, the Gabon international impressed with his goalscoring ability and helped the team win one DFB-Pokal and the DFL-Super Cup twice.
