Raised in a poor suburb in Paris, Blaise Matuidi began his football journey at Us Fontenay-Sous-Bois in September 1993. He spent five years with the club before joining Co Vincennes. He also had spells at INF Clairefontaine and Creteil before moving to Troyes in 2003.
Matuidi spent two years at Troyes academy before making his senior debut on 23 November 2004. He played more than 60 minutes as his side secured a 2-1 win over Gueugnon. His second appearance with the senior team came on 4 February 2005 in a league match against Guingamp.
In the next season, Matuidi made more appearances as his side received promotion to Ligue 1. In July 2007, the Frenchman signed with Saint-Etienne. While at Saint-Etienne, he caught the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, who signed him on 25 July 2011.

Matuidi joined PSG as a replacement for Claude Makelele, who had decided to end his legendary football career. With the Parisians, Matuidi won several trophies, including four consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
On 18 August 2017, Blaise Matuidi joined Italian side Juventus on a three-year contract. In his three seasons at the club, he won three Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and one Supercoppa Italiana. The midfielder joined Inter Miami in August 2020 as a free agent. He ended his professional football career on 23 December 2022.
