Being the daughter of a professional wrestler, Natalya Neidhart trained in amateur wrestling at a young age. She started her pro-wrestling training in the Hart Wrestling Family Dungeon in Canada. Her uncles Bruce Hart and Ross did the work of training her.
Between 2000 and 2001, Natalya served as the host and ring announcer of MatRats promotion. In 2003, she began working for her family’s promotion, Stampede Wrestling.
The next two years, Natalya wrestled overseas in England and Japan. In 2005, she would become the inaugural Stampede Women’s Pacific Champion. The following year, she won the SuperGirls Championship.

Natalya signed her first contract with WWE in 2007. She would spend time at Deep South Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling and Florida Championship before making her debut on the main roster the following year. The Canada international initially formed an alliance with Victoria Crawford and fought The Bella Twins.
In 2009, Natalya, Wilson and Smith formed The Hart Dynasty. Natalya later began competing in singles matches and won the Divas Championship in 2010. Seven years later, she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship after defeating Naomi. As a result, she became the first woman in history to claim both the Divas Championship and the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
