Manchester United new 2023/24 home shirt was unexpectedly unveiled ahead of its official launch when rapper Aitch wore it on stage at Glastonbury. Usually, kit leaks happen in a more low-key manner, such as accidental displays in sportswear shops, relying on eagle-eyed fans to spot and share them. However, this leak was hard to miss as Aitch performed live in front of thousands of festival-goers and millions of TV viewers.

Since then, social media has been buzzing with images of the new United jersey, creating significant hype even before the club or Adidas had officially revealed it.

Unable to ignore the excitement, Manchester United confirmed that the shirt worn by Aitch is indeed their upcoming home kit, soon to be donned by players like Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Ella Toone, and Leah Galton in the Premier League, WSL, and both Champions League competitions next season.

In a statement, the club acknowledged the shirt’s debut at Glastonbury, highlighting Aitch as a lifelong United fan and Manchester native who proudly wore it during his performance on the legendary Pyramid Stage. They also shared a teaser video, reminding fans of the official launch date on June 27.

Manchester United also revealed some interesting insights into their shirt sales. Rashford emerged as the most popular men’s team shirt sold via United Direct during the 2022/23 season, reflecting his immense popularity among fans. New signings Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, and Antony followed closely behind in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.

Fernandes ranked fifth, and young talent Alejandro Garnacho and the inspirational Christian Eriksen, who made a remarkable comeback after a cardiac arrest in 2021, rounded out the top seven.

On the women’s side, England star Ella Toone’s shirt, adorned with the number seven, was the most popular. Katie Zelem, goalkeeper Mary Earps, and Leah Galton also garnered significant support among fans, securing their spots in the top-selling women’s team shirts.

With the leaked images creating a buzz and the official launch approaching, anticipation is building among Manchester United supporters to get their hands on the new home kit and proudly display their support for the club.
