Career
Dayot Upamecano began playing football with local clubs such as Vaillante S. Angers and FC De Prey. He then moved to Evreux where he played alongside Ousmane Dembele. During his early career days, Upamecano played different positions before making up his mind to be a centre-back.
The France international left Evreux in 2013 and joined Valenciennes where he played for two seasons and then joined FC Liefering. While at Liefering, he attracted the attention of various clubs such as Manchester United but ended up joining Red Bull Salzburg.

Upamecano played his first game for Bayern Munich in a pre-season friendly against FC Koln. He then made his competitive debut in a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.
