Career
Diogo Dalot is a product of the Porto youth system. He joined Porto in 2008 and made his professional debut for the club’s B team in January 2017. The Portuguese full-back played the full 90 minutes as Porto lost 2-1 to Leixoes for the LigaPro championship.
On 13 October 2017, Dalot made his first appearance for Porto’s first team in the 6-0 victory over Lusitano de Evora in Taca de Portugal. However, he had to wait until February 2018 before making his Primeira Liga debut. He came on in the 75th minute as Porto thrashed Rio Ave 5-0.
Dalot’s impressive performance with Porto attracted the attention of Manchester United scouts who convinced him to join the club. He signed a five-year contract with the Premier League giants on 6 June 2018 for a fee of 19 million Euros.
On 19 September 2018, Diogo Dalot made his debut for Manchester United in a UEFA Champions League match against Young Boys. He had to wait until 1 December before making his Premier League debut. The Portuguese international played in the 2-2 draw with Southampton.

Dalot struggled with injuries in his first two seasons with Manchester United. The arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka even made it worse for him as he struggled to get playing time. He was loaned to Serie A side AC Milan in the summer of 2020.
At AC Milan, Dalot enjoyed regular playing time. He made 33 appearances, scoring twice and assisting three before returning to Manchester United at the end of the 2020-21 season. Since his return to Old Trafford, Dalot has been competing with Aaron Wan Bissaka for a spot in the starting eleven.
