The heart of Marquinhos biography is his professional football career, which began at Corinthians. Having spent nine years at Corinthians academy, the Brazilian defender made his professional debut for the club in February 2012. He helped his boyhood club win Copa Libertadores before moving to Roma for an eventual fee of three million Euros.
