Nicknamed Captain America and Captain Comeback, Roger spent his entire professional football career playing for the Dallas Cowboys. He led his team to five Super Bowls, winning two – Super Bowl VI and Super Bowl XII. The former football player was named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl VI.

Roger Staubach is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Some of his achievements include NFL Man of the Year, Unanimous All-American and NFL Passing touchdowns leader, UPI Player of the Year, and Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

He has won several awards such as Bert Ball Award, George Halas Award, Lamar Hunt Award, Maxwell Award and Heisman Trophy. The two-time Super Bowl champion was included in the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. 

The legend, who was one of the most famous NFL players of the 1970s, was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. By the time of his retirement in March 1980, Roger Staubach held the record for the highest career passer, 83.4. The record has since been broken. 

Roger Staubach, who was born on February 5, 1942, was a Boy Scout and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic School. He graduated from high school in 1960, and in preparation for his naval career, Roger spent a year at New Mexico Military Institute. 

He entered the US Naval Academy in 1961 and played quarterback for the Midshipmen. Roger’s jersey number (12) is retired by The Naval Academy, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1981. The American served in the military before joining the NFL franchise Dallas Cowboys in 1969.

“I couldn’t have retired at my age and just played golf. First of all, they didn’t pay quarterbacks what they do today. And I was 37 with three kids. Staubach and Robert Holloway Jr. developed several office buildings for companies in some of the most expensive cities in the US. By 2008, the company had more than 70 offices in North America and 1,600 employees. 

When Jones Lang LaSalle officially bought their company in 2008 for $613 million, Roger Staubach earned a significant amount boosting his net worth. In addition to real estate business, Roger has pursued other projects, including owning a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Team. The team has been racing since 2006. 

Roger’s continued success as a businessman and entrepreneur has helped to keep his wealth at its current high levels.
