All has not been right for Ligue 1 leaders PSG since Kylian Mbappe suffered a thigh injury.
It’s nearly unheard of for a team in the French capital to lose two straight games in all competitions, and there have even been rumours that Christophe Galtier’s team’s future depends on whether they can beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16.
Mbappe was initially declared ineligible for that match by PSG’s own medical team, but the Frenchman has since been added to the matchday roster; it is still unclear, though, how significant a part he will really play.

The month of February for PSG started with a trip to Montpellier, where Galtier’s team had an awful nightmare of the first 45 minutes.
After limping off after just 21 minutes, Mbappe missed a penalty and the subsequent retake that was eventually ordered. Sergio Ramos soon after followed him down the tunnel with a problem of his own.
Mbappe was expected to miss three weeks of action, according to the club’s medical report; nevertheless, he has now resumed training and is back in PSG’s matchday squad ahead of schedule.
What has PSG manager Christophe Gatlier said about Mappe’s injury?
Galtier at first rejected claims that PSG might be misrepresenting the seriousness of Mbappe’s injury. I’m not sure how much he knew about it, but the boss has now altered his mind.
Galtier told the media about Mbappe’s likely participation in the match against Bayern: “He just finished training the day before the play, and his return after the session was good. To find out how he is feeling, we shall hold off until the morning.
“I will make the wisest decision. He will not be on the bench just to make up the numbers.”
When is the potential return date for Kylian Mbappe?

Although it is obvious that Mbappe is progressing ahead of schedule, Galtier has refrained from promising an early comeback for the 24-year-old, whose participation against Bayern is still up in the air, although he has been named in the squad set to take on the Germany champions at Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening.
Mbappe appears to have earned the trust of the PSG staff, since he made the matchday roster, and there’s a chance we’ll see him in the first leg against the German powerhouses.
Mbappe might sit out the match against Bayern, but it looks like he’ll start again the following Saturday against Lille.
