- Eriksen has been on United’s radar all summer as Ten Hag looks to bolster his creativity in the center of the pitch.
- According to ESPN, the Denmark international has now completed a thorough medical with the Red Devils and has verbally agreed to the three-year deal.
- Ten Hag’s team is now set to face A-League side Melbourne Victory on Friday at the city’s cricket ground, before going head-to-head with Crystal Palace at the same venue next Tuesday
Christian Eriksen is edging closer to completing his move to Manchester United and a bumper contract has been agreed upon ahead of a medical.
Eriksen is a free agent after his short-term contract at Brentford expired and he reportedly turned down an extension from the Bees as well as an offer from Tottenham to sign for United.
The Danish international is believed to be traveling for a medical before flying out to link up with the United squad where he should be unveiled on a three-year deal.
The 30-year-old’s contract is said to be worth around £150,000 a week plus bonuses and the signing could be announced in the coming days.

Where will Eriksen fit in at Old Trafford?
Eriksen is believed to have agreed on a move to United a number of weeks ago however the club has been occupied with their other transfer business and has yet to conclude the deal.
Both sides have remained calm over the slow progress, with Eriksen happy to continue considering his options while United pursue a deal for Frenkie De Jong.
The deal for Eriksen is not thought to be affected by either of those transfers despite De Jong perhaps operating in a similar mold to the Dane.

United boss Erik ten Hag believes both players can co-exist and the Dutchman hinted that Eriksen could play deeper than his usual attacking midfield role.
The former Ajax manager spoke about the position of Donny van de Beek and said the midfielder, back in the first team squad after a loan to Everton, played best behind the striker.
With Bruno Fernandes also a pivotal attacking figure for United, both Eriksen and De Jong could end up forming a partnership deeper in midfield, should the Barcelona midfielder end up joining.
United struck an €85 million deal for De Jong but the 25-year-old is reluctant to leave Barcelona and has yet to agree on personal terms with the English side.
Meanwhile, a deal with Ajax for Martinez has also been in the works, with United beating Arsenal to his signing and the Argentine could be announced in a similar timeframe to Eriksen.
