Inconsistent Man United was salvaged by Cristiano Ronaldo in the last minute of the game to take home a point, Manchester United although were coming into this game with confidence after winning against Tottenham in the Premier League it still proved hard this time against Italian bound Atalanta.
With a draw against Atalanta United now sits atop of Group F followed by Villareal on goal difference.
Manchester United performance yesterday night was awful and not once has it been questioned, Ole Gunnar is still under pressure.
Another player who has fallen victim to poor performance is Paul Pogba, a great player he is at the international level has never proved his wages at United ever since he returned from Turin.
In the first opening games, Pogba was electrifying with seven assists in four games, but as days progresses Pogba is struggling to hold the midfield that continually is being overrun by opposition hence exposing defenders big time.
General all United squad did not have a convincing performance except Ronaldo in their UEFA Champions League outing against Atalanta in Bergamo but most frustrating was Paul Pogba’s.
Against a well-drilled and committed Atalanta side, Pogba looked slow, sloppy and downright careless in the middle of the pitch and after the hosts took the lead for the second time Solskjaer made the decision to pull the France international off in favor of other options.

While the club’s problems certainly don’t start or end with the towering midfielder, many Man United fans would have been left with the same conclusion after the European debacle: is Pogba really worth all this bother?
Pogba certainly seemed intent on proving his doubters wrong at the start of the season, when he bagged no less than seven assists in his first four Premier League games for the club.
However, those emphatic performances came against a troubled Leeds side and equally disheveled Southampton, Wolves and Newcastle. Since then the midfielder has struggled to impose himself on West Ham, Aston Villa or Leicester City and was dropped for league clashes against Everton and the Liverpool game on Sunday.
Add to that a lack of goals or assists in the Champions League and getting pulled off in the club’s draw on Tuesday night after 69 minutes, it certainly seems as though Pogba is back to his old, inconsistent self whilst now struggling to even hold down a starting role in Solskjaer’s team.

The sub-plot to Pogba’s struggles for Man Utd this season is undoubtedly the fact that the midfielder still hasn’t signed a contract extension with the club.
After last January’s theatrics, in which Pogba’s agent declared that he will leave the club the France international has huffed and puffed on and off the pitch without any clear indication of what his future plans are.
Now, with reports in Spain suggesting the player’s agent may push discussions back to April, it seems all but certain that Pogba will consider all other options before committing to Man United. And that should be more than enough proof to suggest that he’s not worth keeping around at all.
