Algeria on Monday announced a squad of 24 players to do duty in their international friendlies over the next week.
Algeria take on Nigeria on Friday at Worthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt, Austria. On October 13, Algeria will play Mexico at Cars-Jeans Stadion in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Algeria coach Djamel Belmadi who won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with his side recalled a full list of players competing abroad since the Algerian championship has been suspended since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The uncapped players included defenders Abdeljalil Medioub (CD Tondela, Portugal) and Maxime Spano-Rahou (Valenciennes, France) as well as midfielder Mehdi Zerkane (Girondins de Bordeaux, France).
Others are also returning to the squad after a long absence, include Mohamed Reda Halaïmia (K. Beerschot VA, Belgium), Zinedine Ferhat (Nîmes Olympique, France) and Farid Boulaya (FC Metz, France).
