Thomas Meunier comments on Sancho-Mbappe comparison - Sports Leo

Belgian international Thomas Meunier has said that England international Jadon Sancho is “a bit sneaky” in his style of play.

Meunier, who plays with Sancho at Borussia Dortmund has hailed the 20-year-old as one of the best upcoming wonderkid.

According to Goal.com, talking to  BVB TV about the winger, Meunier commented: “He always wants to nutmeg you or dribble past you. It’s a bit like a humiliation.”

The 29-year-old also noted a similarity between Sancho and his former teammate Kylian Mbappe, stating,  “They’re all conscious of the fact we have the quality to do something great. We all want to win titles, and everyone is going in the same directions. They can be 17 or 25 – it makes no difference.”

The right-back who moved to Signal Iduna Park from Le Parc des Princes has though admitted that playing with Sancho is more challenging than France international Mbappe.

Sancho, who has experienced a meteoric rise in Dortmund has been linked severally with a move to Premier Legaue club Manchester United.

However, the German side have failed to reach agreeements with the Red Devils, with the former still keen to sign the highly-rated attacker.

Dortmund are unwilling to part with their star player who has been incredible for them unless a mouthwatering bid is tabled by most likely United.

Right-back Meunier is hopeful Sancho can remain in Germany and help his team and teammates achieve more glory in the German football.
