Uganda Cricket Association launches new Schools League - Sports Leo

The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) has created a new development initiative with The Schools League.

Exposing children to the sport during their formative years was the main aim according to UCA.

High School children in Uganda traditionally only play cricket once a year at the Schools Cricket Week.

The first edition of the competition will feature eight schools, with teams from the East, West and Central regions.

The Schools League was scheduled to begin this weekend but has been postponed due to the spread of Covid-19.
