Cricket SA name Regional Performance Centre team

Cricket SA (CSA) on Thursday named the Standard Bank Regional Performance Centre (RPC) Invitational team that will take part in the Heritage Cricket Tournament at Potchefstroom Boys High this weekend.

The team was selected at the conclusion of the RPC Week that also took place in Potchefstroom in March.

The Heritage weekend of cricket will see 16 under-16 teams go head to head in the 50-over format for the ultimate bragging rights at the end. The selected squad of 14, which includes 2019 Standard Bank RPC Week Player of the Year Siseko Sobekwa, will take on some of the top traditional cricketing schools in South Africa.

This Heritage Cricket Week will provide Siseko and our entire RPC Invitational team an opportunity to play against some really big cricket playing schools. This week contributes to Standard Bank’s holistic approach to sponsorship, where it insists on ensuring that there is a talent pipeline for every programme it is involved in.”

Standard Bank is currently sponsoring 12 RPC programmes across the country focussing on age groups between 13 and 18 years.
