Bafana rope at services of Mark Fish

Bafana Bafana have supported the appointment of former national team guardian Mark Fish as a participant liaison and resistance analyst.

Coach Stuart Baxter was eager to deliver the ex-central guardian on board so as to gain out of his priceless top-level playing expertise in Europe.

Fish played for Lazio in Serie A and was a constant performer for Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic throughout his playing days.

In addition, the 45-year old included 62 times for Bafana from 1993 before 2004.

The Cape Town-born mentor will combine the COSAFA Cup squad under coach David Notoane before linking up with all the AFCON squad.

Baxter informed Soccer Laduma:”We’d have enjoyed for Mark to be in Durban using the group for your camp, but there isn’t enough time.

“So we’ll go introduce him into the players and provide David (Notoane, the below -23 trainer ) support and after that return to Johannesburg to our camp together with the AFCON team”

Fish can aid the Englishman and his technical staff before their Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. Bafana are in a tough Group D alongside Ivory Coast, Morocco, and Namibia.
