F1 star Max Verstappen could leave Red Bull for Ferrari according to F1 pundit Richard Bradley.

Bradley claims that in order to demonstrate his superiority, Verstappen must win in a less powerful vehicle.

Verstappen, who has won the last two Formula One world championships, is certain of making three straight wins after taking a 53-point lead in the driver standings this year.

The Dutch driver presently appears untouchable for Red Bull, which has emerged as a dominant force in the sport for the past two years now and counting.

However, Bradley believes that Verstappen could be persuaded to leave Red Bull in the future to prove that he can triumph in a less powerful vehicle and has projected him to join Ferrari.

The ex-Les Mans champion told On Track GP in an interview that he has a positive feeling that Verstappen will end up in Ferrari.

“I think that Max is going to end up at Ferrari in a couple of years. It wouldn’t surprise me, I think especially if he keeps on winning titles and he starts to get complacent, and people start saying “oh, is he the greatest of all time?” he stated.

“Max is the sort of guy that goes “okay, well I’ll do what Schumacher did: I’ll take Ferrari from not being in the position to win, to make them World Champions.”

He says all F1 legends like Schumacher, Senna and Hamilton all won championships with subpar cars after leaving big teams.

The legendary German Formula One driver raced for Jordan and Benetton Teams in the early 90s before switching to Ferrari.

Hamilton launched his F1 career with McLaren in 2007 and he moved to Mercedes years later where he won championship titles in a row.

This according to Bradley, is a show of might which is the one other level Verstappen is yet to get into.

“We look at [Michael] Schumacher, we look at [Ayrton] Senna, we look at [Lewis] Hamilton, and the one thing that defines all of these guys is that they were able to win in a subpar car and take a manufacturer to a position where they weren’t winning at the time, but they’re able to bring them back there,” Bradley added.

Hitting on his personality, Bradly described Verstappen “as a proud person” who should show the world how good he is by racing for another team not as powerful as Red Bull is.

Ferrari was the team to beat in Formula One, and Schumacher won five straight world championships with the Italian powerhouses between 2000 and 2004.

Since then, they have found it difficult to compete at the front of the grid, and their current drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc are currently ranked sixth and seventh in the standings this season.

They are over 100 points behind Verstappen. The latter recently asserted that Red Bull is capable of maintaining this winning streak for the remainder of the season and it’s true because the Christian Horner team has won every race this season.
