Barcelona legends Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba played their last ever games for the La Liga giants on Sunday as they beat Mallorca 3-0.
Ansu Fati scored a brace and Pablo Gavi added the third as Barca ran riot in their last game at the Spotify Camp Nou. The Catalans are expected to move to the Olympic Stadium next season to allow redevelopment of their iconic home Camp Nou.
Barcelona have already won the La Liga title and their final home game of the season was all about club legends Busquets and Alba. The two captains will leave the club this summer to continue their career elsewhere for a short period before retiring. They are yet to announce where they will play next season.

Jordi Alba broke down in tears when he was subbed in the second half (81) to a standing ovation. The Spain international hugged all his teammates before walking away clapping as the fans chanted his name.
Sergio Busquets, on the other hand, was full of smiles as he followed Alba to the bench in the 85th minute to make way for former Manchester City man Eric Garcia. Busquets handed the club’s armband to Sergio Roberto.
Coach Xavi Hernandez wanted Busquets to stay at Barcelona but the 34-year-old announced earlier this month that his time with the Catalans had come to an end. Busquets has spent 18 years at Barca, making over 700 first team appearances. He won nine La Liga and three UEFA Champions League titles, among other trophies during his time with Barca.
Speaking after the match, Busquets said he has fulfilled the dreams he had while joining Barcelona.
“When I was a kid, I came here to watch matches, I went to away games, I watched on television. Nobody will ever take away the feeling of pride of belonging to the best club in the world. I am leaving, but the dream I had has been fulfilled — in fact, it’s been better than I ever imagined. This is also not a goodbye, it is a ‘see you soon.” ESPN quotes Sergio Busquets.
Jordi Alba leaves FC Barcelona after eleven years. Since 2012, he has gone on to make over 450 appearances and won several titles, including six La Liga and a UEFA Champions League.

“Thanks for the affection you have shown me in the street, at the stadium … everywhere. I have been proud to wear this shirt. This has been one of the happiest days of my life. I’ve played less than usual this season, but I’ve tried to help everyone. Now it’s time to see things from a different perspective, but you have a friend here for life.” Jordi Alba said in front of the 88,775 fans at the Camp Nou.
