SKLZ South Africa announce Van Wyk as new ambassador

SKLZ South Africa announce Van Wyk as new ambassador - Sports Leo

SKLZ South Africa, a sports skills development company on Wednesday announced Banyana Banyana captain Janine van Wyk as their ambassador.

SKLZ has been supplying football-specific training equipment to clubs, with each item designed to improve agility, strength and speed.

“I am extremely excited to be an ambassador of a brand that encourages individual growth in every athlete. The exciting part about this product is that it benefits all athletes to train smarter and perform better. I am honoured to have a brand like SKLZ that supports me to become a better player every day,” said the 32-year-old Van Wyk.

With the COVID-19 pandemic bringing a halt to competitive sport around the world, there are many dreams on hold, and in South Africa, where a total lockdown has been implemented for 21 days, training regimes have had to be suitably adapted.

Also benefitting from this partnership is JVW Girls’ Football Club, founded by Van Wyk.

“I am thrilled to have SKLZ come on board with JVW Girls Football Club, and I believe using the SKLZ equipment will support and improve the players in all aspects of their game – shooting accuracy, passing, ball skills, speed, defence, agility and tactics, and hopefully this will put us one step ahead of the opposition,” added Van Wyk.

SKLZ will be supplying football-specific training equipment, designed to improve agility, strength and speed to the newly-promoted Safa National Women’s League outfit.
