Nigeria Football League still running despite Covid-19 spread - Sports Leo

Despite the majority of soccer leagues in the world postponed due to the spread of Covid-19, the Nigerian football league is still running.

The Nigerian Professional Football League has not issued any postponement yet, and fixtures continued over the past weekend, with the next round of games scheduled for Wednesday with all 20 teams playing.

Nigeria have issued restrictions on fans attending matches, but the details of the restrictions are unknown.

Meanwhile, the English Premier League, the European Champions League, Europa League and SA Premiership have all been postponed.

There are still other leagues worldwide continuing, like in Argentina and Australia where matches will be played without fans in attendance. There are also leagues in Belarus, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine still going ahead with crowd attendance restrictions.
