- Barcelona is interested in signing Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves
- The La Liga outfit is hopeful of beating other European giants in getting the services of the central-midfielder
- Neves is a regular midfielder for the Portugal national team and might leave Wolves in the summer
Barcelona is hopeful that they will be able to recruit Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves at the end of the current campaign because they believe he already has one foot out the door.
After joining Wolves during their final season in the Championship (2017–18), Neves, 25, has played for the club for the past six seasons, making over 200 appearances and scoring 28 goals.
The top teams in Europe are interested in Portugal’s central midfielder, who regularly plays for his country.
Wolves had hoped to keep Neves for an extended period of time, but with their status in the Premier League in question, they may have already begun to make plans for life without him.

According to Sport, Barcelona believes Wolves are signing 21-year-old Flamengo midfielder Joao Gomes as a direct replacement for Neves, who they expect to leave at the end of the season.
The report states Barcelona know what it will cost to pry him away from the Premier League and are comfortable with the price, which is said to be “much more feasible” than the €60million price tag for Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
Real Madrid are also expected to pursue Neves, who they reportedly feel has “the potential to become the new Casemiro”.
