Zimbabwe prepare to host Durham and Derbyshire - Sports Leo

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) is preparing to host two English County teams (Derbyshire and Durham) next month for the first time in over 15 years.

England last toured Zimbabwe in 2004 and officially cut ties with the African country in 2008.

The last meeting between the two nations was in 2007, in the group stages of the World T20 hosted in South Africa.

On Thursday according to bulawayo24.com, ZC released a statement confirming the dates of the matches involving Derbyshire and Durham.

Derbyshire will play two T20s against a Zimbabwe select team starting on March 14, before contesting three One-Day matches. All the matches will be played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

A Zimbabwe Chairman’s XI will then take on Durhan in two three-day matches. The first match will run from March 19 to 21, with the second scheduled for March 25 to 27. Both contests will be staged in Harare.
