South Africa lost by 191 runs to England in the fourth Test at the Wanderers, in Johannesburg, on Monday.

England claimed the four-match series 3-1 after bowling out South Africa for 274.

Chasing 466 to win with two days remaining, South Africa were in with a chance of a draw with captain Faf du Plessis (35) and Rassie van der Dussen (98) in the middle.

Together the pair put on 92 for the third wicket, taking the score to 181/2. But once Du Plessis fell, Van Der Dussen was also dismissed shortly after (187/4) – two short of a maiden Test century.

Quinton de Kock (39) and Temba Bavuma (27) played aggressively in compiling 48 for the fifth wicket, but their resistance was short in the face of the England attack. Mark Wood was the pick of the English bowlers with 4/54, with Stuart Broad miserly in his 10 overs returning 2/26.

Ben Stokes claimed 2/47, which included the crucial wicket of Du Plessis which triggered the SA batting collapse.
