- Close quarters of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) sensation Kylian Mbappe says he is unhappy at the club
- PSG failed to honour some terms of the contract
- He is now hoping Real Madrid will sign him in January
Close quarters of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) sensation Kylian Mbappe allege that the Frenchman’s issues with the team extend beyond the pitch.
According to insiders, Mbappe intended to leave PSG in January after their relationship fully collapsed, ESPN reports. The 2018 World Cup champion, according to additional sources, was unhappy with the direction Parisians were taking both on and off the field and preferred a transfer to Real Madrid.
Mbappe was frequently associated with Los Blancos over the summer, but in the end, he decided to sign a three-year agreement with PSG in May.
L’Equipe further supports ESPN’s assertions that the France international’s rumoured decision to leave the club is not solely motivated by football-related factors.

The player’s close friends claim that it goes further than that. There have reportedly been difficult recent days for the former Monaco man, and in the days to come, detailed answers will be given.
Mbappe began in PSG’s Champions League Group H match against Benfica on Tuesday night despite doubts about his future with the team. He provided the lone goal for the French champions, who were beaten to a 1-1 tie by the Portuguese team at Parc des Princes.
Mbappe reportedly feels misled by PSG because many of the promises made during his extension haven’t been kept, according to French football expert Julien Laurens.
Laurens claims that Neymar’s dismissal and the hiring of a new centre-forward and centre-back were promises made to the French superstar but haven’t been met.
Most crucially, he was assured that he would be the project’s focal point, but that has not been the case.
“He feels betrayed by the club in the sense that all the things the club promised him when he signed that new deal until 2025 have not happened,” Laurens told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“The promises they would sign a new striker so he could play in his best position off the striker, that Neymar wouldn’t be there and he would be sold, that they would sign a centre-back, and he would be at the centre of the project. All of these things have not happened.”

Now, Mbappe wants out as the tension gets out of hand and there are signs that PSG will not honour its promise as he expects.
His clique says he regretfully feels it was a wrong move to extend his contract with Parc des Princes increasing his weekly pay to $817,000 per week making him one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.
However, this denied him a chance to sign with Real Madrid which was offering a $145 million transfer fee to PSG. Now, he is hoping to make the big move to Los Blancos in the January transfer window.
Real Madrid Manager Carlos Ancelotti is yet to comment on whether he will sign Mbappe in January. This is even as PSG remains adamant in selling the Frenchman despite his complaints of ‘having a restricted role’ at the French Ligue 1 club.
