The Bournemouth vs Fulham fixture played on 26 December ended in a 3-0 victory for Bournemouth. The Cherries have been impressive in recent weeks and this was their fourth Premier League victory in a row. No side in the Premier League has won more points from the last nine games than Bournemouth’s 22.
Justin Kluivert opened the scoring for the Cherries against Fulham in the 44th minute as his shot squirmed under Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno. Dominic Solanke then continued his fine scoring form by doubling his side’s lead from the spot after sending Leno the wrong way.

Luis Sinistaerra wrapped up the victory for Bournemouth in a brilliant fashion in stoppage time. The Cherries have moved into the top half of the table and currently have 25 points after 18 matches. They are unbeaten in their last seven games, six of them being wins. Well, it’s almost hard to believe that this same Bournemouth side were winless in their first nine league games of the season.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, who watched the game from the stands as he served a one-match ban, will be full of confidence as his team prepares for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in their next two Premier League fixtures.
Speaking after Monday’s victory, Andoni Iraola told Match of the Day: “There are a lot of small things that are now clicking. We know each other much better. Everyone is pushing. There is strong competition for minutes. It’s becoming tough for me to make the starting XIs, but it’s good for the team.”
Meanwhile, Fulham’s struggles continue as they are winless and without a goal in their last three Premier League games. They rarely looked like getting back into the game during their defeat at Bournemouth and Marco Silva will need to change his tactics if they want to win their next game.
Bournemouth Vs Fulham
Bournemouth started the game well and enjoyed possession compared to their opponents. However, they lacked quality in front of goal and failed to convert the numerous chances they had.
Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo showed a dominant performance at the heart of the defence as he made important interventions to stop the hosts from taking the lead. The 26-year-old did well to deflect Dominic Solanke’s strike wide before making a last-minute intervention to stop Justin Kluivert from scoring while clear on goal.
Dango Ouattara almost gave Bournemouth the lead but Bernd Leno recovered fast after initially being deceived to stop the 21-year-old’s cross from going in. Just when everyone thought that the first half was going to end goalless, Alex Scott made a brilliant mazy run and then released Justin Kluivert, who hit a low shot that squirmed underneath Leno.
Bournemouth’s in-form striker Dominic Solanke then increased his side’s lead to 2-0 at the hour-mark from the penalty spot. This was after Antoine Semenyo was fouled in the box by Joao Paulinha leading to the referee pointing to the spot. It was Solanke’s fifth goal in Bournemouth’s last three matches.

Whereas Leno was kept busy for the majority of the game, Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto remained a bystander as the visitors had no response after conceding. The hosts were on course to another crucial Premier League win leading 2-0 when substitute Luis Sinisterra added another goal. The 24-year-old Colombian cut in from the left and then released a superb strike that hit the top corner.
Leno could be in trouble for losing his cool and pushing a ball boy who was taking too long to give him the ball for a goal-kick during the Bournemouth vs Fulham game.
