Aymen Barkok was born on May 21 1998  in Frankfurt am Main, Germany to a Moroccan father and a German mother, and began his career at the age of six years.

His father is a Moroccan immigrant who left for Germany in search of greener pastures where he met Barkok’s mother and they got married.

Barkok has a younger brother by the name Anas who is also a footballer.

He joined the youth academy of club Eintracht Frankfurt where he progressed through the ranks and made a professional debut for the club.

He has dual citizenship for Morocco and Germany and is thus eligible to play for both countries. The player has represented Germany in his youth levels and playing for Morocco at the senior level.

Aymen is married and has one child. He is a devout Muslim who believes that his faith has played a big role in the person he is today.

Internationally, he represented Germany at the youth level but chose to play for Morocco at the senior level.
