- Posta Rangers are unbeaten this season
- They sit top of the standings with 16 points
- Sofapaka will be looking for their first win of the season
High flying Posta rangers will look to continue in their brilliant start to the season when they take on FC Talanta at the Ruaraka Complex. The mailmen have been on a brilliant run this season, and since their opening day draw against Bidco United have not dropped a single point
They have been on a run of five consecutive wins, and sit top of the FKF Premier League standings with 16 points out of a possible 18.
“We have been playing well and I should say I am very pleased with my team and how they have been taking up each game. We have a squad that has been together for a while and it is showing in the results. We hope we can continue that way,” noted Posta tactician John Kamau.
They will look to continue with that impressive run when they take on Talanta, who are a hard nut to crack especially when they play at the Ruaraka Complex.
Ken Kenyatta’s men who are 11th in the standings are also keen to bounce back to winning ways after a run of three winless matches, which has seen them lose once and draw twice.
They have picked back to back draws against Tusker FC and Kakamega Homeboyz, the last of which they had to come from 2-0 down to draw 3-3.
Struggling Ulinzi face KCB
Meanwhile in the other match scheduled for Saturday evening, struggling Ulinzi Stars take on KCB at the Kasarani Stadium.
The military side, under the tutelage of coach Anthony Kimani have four defeats and two wins this season, willowing down the standings. They hope their last victory against Kariobangi Sharks will be a morale booster as they look to put their campaign back on track.
Meanwhile, KCB have slowly found their rhythm, and four unbeaten matches have seen them rise to fourth in the standings with 11 points from six matches.
At the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, Sofapaka head coach Ezekiel Akwana will look to clinch his first win of the season when they take on Police FC.
Batoto ba Mungu are winless in six matches and Akwana, who was recently asked to step in after Burundian coach Francis Harigingo was sacked, remains optimistic that he can guide the team to victory.
Lost against Murang’a Seal
His first match in charge was a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Muranga Seals, and he believes he has what it takes to guide them to a win, having picked positives from the game.
“We have to win this match if we are to get ourselves from the bottom. We have had ample training time and morale is high at the camp hence we expect a win tomorrow. My players are more than ready for the task ahead,” noted Akwana
Sofapaka lie bottom of the 18-team log with just a single point, having lost 5 of their matches and drawing in one condemning them to the worst league start in the club’s history.
