Dare Ogunbowale is an American football running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League and was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 2017 NFL Draft and won the Super Bowl twice.

He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers where he was a two-time All-Big Ten selection.

The player is best known for his game-winning touchdown run in the 2017 Super Bowl against the Atlanta Falcons and two years later, he scored against the Los Angeles Rams.

His speed and elusiveness make him a valuable asset to the Pittsburgh Steelers and is expected to play a big role for them in their future tournaments.

Educational Background

Ogunbowale attended Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was a four-sport athlete playing football, soccer, basketball and track and field.

He was named all-conference in football and basketball and was a two-time basketball defensive player of the year.

His performance in the sport awarded him scholarships but he chose to attend Marquette  University, Wisconsin where he played college football. At the university, he majored in Economics with a Math Emphasis and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

He played college football at the university where he was a four-year letterman and a two-time All-Big Ten selection, also a team captain in his senior year.

Personal Life

Dare was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 29, 1994, to Gregory and Yolanda Ogunbowale who are Nigerian immigrants. He has two elder brothers and a younger sister, Arike who is a professional basketball player with Dallas Wings of the WNBA.

His father is a high school principal in Milwaukee while his mother is a former college softball player who currently works as a teacher.

Dare grew up playing a variety of sports like football, soccer, basketball and track and field. He was a standout athlete in college where he was named all-conference in football and basketball.

His parents brought him up in a religious household and they instilled the importance of faith and hard work which guided him in his career.

Career

Dare Ogunbowale is an American football running back for the Houston Texans of the National Football League.

He grew up playing a variety of sports like football, soccer, basketball and track and field. He was a standout athlete in college where he was named all-conference in football and basketball.

The player played college football at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was a two-time All-Big Ten selection.

At the university, he was also a team captain in his senior season.

He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft. The player spent two seasons with the Patriots where he won two Super Bowl championships.

He then signed with the Houston Texans. So far, he has played in 63 career NFL games. While playing for the Texans in the 2023 NFL preseason, he played three games but did not play in the regular season due to injury.

Despite the injury, his career has been successful and is expected to deliver the best to the Texans or rather the NFL.
