Jerryd Bayless is a former American basketball player who played basketball at St. Mary’s High School where he became a McDonald’s All-American and has since retired.

Bayless was drafted in the NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers with the 11th pick in the 2008 NBA draft and was then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers on draft night.

At the  Trail Blazers, he played for two seasons before he was again traded to the New Orleans Hornets where he played for one season before joining the Toronto Raptors.

The player played as a point guard and shooting guard and was a two-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest participant where he finished third and fourth in the two contests.

Jerryd retired from playing basketball after 11 seasons in the NBA and is currently running his businesses. He is also a basketball analyst for ESPN.

He has a brother by the name Justin Bayless and is married to Taylor LaShae and together they are blessed with a daughter whose name is Anya.

The guard is a cousin to former NBA player Dahntay Jones and is a great fan of the Phoenix Suns. He is a devout Christian believer and a philanthropist who has been involved in several charity initiatives.
