Born in a mining town in Morocco, playing football as a girl was considered shameful to play with boys.

This challenge did not deter her determination to become a professional footballer and her parents gave her the total support she needed.

Since in her area, there were no women’s football teams, Er-Rmichi travelled to Fquih Ben Salah to play with their local women’s club then returned to Khouribga and joined AS FAR.

The goalkeeper has since won 13 Moroccan Championships, 10 Throne Cups and one CAF Women’s Champions League with AS FAR, and was also named the Moroccan Footballer of the Year four times.

Internationally, Er-Rmichi has played in the FIFA Women’s World Cup twice and in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations five times. She was named the Goalkeeper of the Tournament at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations

The goalkeeper helped Morocco to reach the round of 16 in the 2023 Women’s World Cup, where the country became the first Arab and  North African country to get there.

Er-Rmichi has since won 13 Moroccan Championships, 100 Throne Cups, and one CAF Women’s Champions League with AS FAR. She has also been named the Moroccan Footballer of the Year four times.
