Career
Mitch played in college for the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds before joining Kansas State Wildcats. He was then drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the overall pick in the 1988 NBA draft.
He played for the Warriors for three seasons before he was traded to the Sacramento Kings, spending seven seasons with them and was named to the All-NBA First Team twice and the All-NBA Second Team thrice.
After seven seasons with the Kings, Mitch played for the Washington Wizards and the Los Angeles Lakers then retired from the NBA in 2002.
The player was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame In 2014. Before joining NBA, he played for the U.S. national team and won a bronze medal at the 198 Summer Olympics in South Korea, and also won the U.S. men’s national basketball the same year.
